No. 2 Wakesurf Champion in the World!

Check out this new video of Ashley Kidd from Corpus Christi, Texas.  She's only 16, but has a style of riding that has made her one of the best in the world.  The sport is relatively new, and it's often confused with wakeboarding.  The difference is that in wakeboarding, your feet are attached to the board.  Wakesurfing takes an incredible amount of strength and agility to just stay on the board.  Ashely used to wakeboard, but has now been wakesurfing for a year and a half.  Keep your eye on her and what she'll do in the future!  & also check out all her San Lorenzo Bikinis in the video!  :)

Danielle has always had a calling toward art and the ocean.  She's had an interesting career path.  She was accepted to college on a full scholarship for soccer.  However, in her second year of school, she decided to pursue graphic design at one of the best graphic design schools in Florida.  

After college she realized she had to be near the ocean and began surfing in competitions on the East Coast, of which she won many.  She had always had a desire to live in Hawai'i, and decided to move to the Big Island.  She now resides there, where she is able to truly combine her passions of surfing and art.  You can check out her art here, which is inspired by Hawaiian legends.

In this interview she shares about her life, competition, travels in Costa Rica, and fighting plastic pollution. 

She was voted 2011's Female Paddler of the year & she has paddled through the entire Hawaiian island chain!  It was a 300-mile trip, which took 3 weeks.  At one point she traveled for 10 hours straight through the night!  She is truly an inspiration.
